NZ Greenshell Mussels
As the largest privately owned producer
of New Zealand Greenshell Mussels we have been working with
seafood importers and distributors around the world for the
last 15 years and have developed a strong network for the
sale and distribution of New Zealand Greenshell Mussels. As
a result Pacifica Seafood's Greenshell Mussels can be found
around the world from China to the Canary Islands.
New Zealand Greenshell Mussels are harvested
year round with the exception of a brief seasonal supply variation
in August and September due to spawning and weather variations.
A rigorous monitoring program of the marine enviornment and
processing facilities is overseen by the New Zealand Ministry
of Agriculture and Forestry to insure that our products are
manufactured to exacting hygiene standards and in accordance
with USFDA shellfish standards.
GREENSHELL MUSSELS IN
THE HALF SHELL
Our Greenshell Mussels in the half shell are graded into six
different grades, (Large, Medium, Small, X Small, Catering
Grade and B Grade), blanched, glazed then individually quick
frozen.
GREENSHELL MUSSEL MEAT
Our Greenshell Mussel meat is graded into five different grades,
(Large, Medium, Small, X Small, and B Grade), blanched, glazed
then individually quick frozen.
PACKAGING
Pacifica packs New Zealand Greenshell Mussels under their
own brand as well as under our customers own specialty brands.
